High Intensity Ultrasound (HIFU)
Focused Ultrasound treatment consists of the application of highly selective energy to the skin and fatty tissue that allows the generation of heat and a selective coagulation process. This mechanism favors the formation of collagen and elastin, causes the rupture of the adipocyte and increases microcirculation in the treated area, with this the contraction of the tissue occurs, which allows to improve sagging, both facial and body, reduce localized fat and treat cellulite. With this treatment we achieve a lifting effect without surgery, as well as rejuvenation of the neck and décolleté.
It is a safe procedure in expert hands and with few side effects (redness in the treated area and slight inflammation may occur that subsides spontaneously).
Results
- On the face, heating induces the production of new collagen and elastin in the dermis.
- This collagen regeneration and remodeling process improves the firmness and elasticity of the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
- In body treatment, ultrasonic energy can be directed to the subcutaneous fat layers.
- The energy causes the breakdown of fat cells, leading to their elimination from the body.
- As on the face, collagen stimulation contributes to improved skin elasticity and firmness in specific body areas.
Aftercare:
- Unlike some surgical procedures, HIFU treatments do not require incisions, meaning they are non-invasive.
- Most patients are able to resume normal activities after treatment, as there is no significant downtime.
- The results are usually progressive, as the body needs time to generate new collagen and eliminate the treated fat cells.
- Applying sunscreen to treated areas is essential. Skin may become more sensitive after treatment, and unprotected sun exposure may increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.
- Keeping the skin well hydrated helps promote healing and alleviate any dryness or peeling that may occur in response to treatment.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and heat sources, such as saunas and hot baths, during the first days after treatment. This helps prevent further skin irritation.
- Avoid using skin care products that contain harsh or exfoliating ingredients for at least a week after treatment. This includes strong acids, retinoids, and products with strong fragrances.
- It is advisable to avoid other intensive aesthetic treatments, such as chemical peels or laser treatments, on the treated areas for one week after treatment.
