Veins Sclerosis
Spider veins and reticular veins smaller than 2-3 mm in diameter, which appear in the legs, are susceptible to treatment through sclerotherapy. Through sclerosis we inject a sclerosing agent or foam that produces the destruction of the varicose vein and eventually its disappearance. Problems related to venous insufficiency must be ruled out.
After varicose sclerosis treatment, it is important to follow some precautions and care to ensure optimal recovery:
- Moderate physical activity: Avoid strenuous physical activities, but do not remain in prolonged rest either. Walking is a recommended activity to improve circulation.
- Wearing compression stockings: We may recommend wearing compression stockings to help improve blood circulation and reduce swelling.
- Avoid excessive heat: Avoid taking hot baths, saunas, or exposing yourself to the sun for long periods of time, as heat can increase swelling and discomfort.
- Elevate your legs: Elevating your legs above heart level when you are resting can help reduce swelling and improve circulation.
- Avoid tight clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing that does not restrict blood circulation in your legs.
Always remember to follow the specific recommendations we will give you, as they may vary depending on your individual medical situation and the type of varicose sclerosis treatment you have received.
